Operating system

Architecture and people. That is most of the job.

My work sits in the space where technical decisions, team design, product constraints, and business pressure all meet.

Architecture

Keep product ecosystems coherent as teams and constraints multiply.

People

Hire, develop, and protect leaders who can run without me in the room.

Flow

Make work visible, limit WIP, and move the actual bottleneck.

AI Systems

Treat AI as infrastructure: context, rituals, tools, and human validation.

Point of view

Busy is not the same as valuable.

Good engineering leadership is not more ceremonies, dashboards, or motivational noise. It is designing a system where work is visible, constraints are explicit, and the team can make better decisions without waiting for the most senior person in the room.

AI matters when it becomes part of that operating system: context, tools, rituals, and validation. Not as a chatbot tab you forget after a week.
